Advantage no. 1 = destination wedding is a holiday followed by a wedding. So you'll be mentally more ready for it. And you'll enjoy it much more thanks to this.
And after the wedding.... you can continue with a honeymoon! You can either stay where you had your wedding or you can change your location. To have the real feel of a honeymoon.Crete is an amazing island and huge island! You can find different worlds on its each side. North is more modern and full of city life, south is very calm with amazing beaches. Or you can easily travel to another Greek island! Advantage no. 2 = continuing with a honeymoon..
If you love beaches, sun, exotic environment and want a small intimate wedding, destination wedding is right choice also for you.
Destination wedding is also a more cost effective solution for many people. Once you choose an elopement wedding with just you and your partner, and maybe your witnesses, your wedding might be cheaper than a celebration with tens of guest in your country = advantage no. 3.
As we mentioned at the beginning, if you love your place and was always excited about your local wedding, imagining yourself experiencing the same, destination wedding is not for you. Probably.
But if you love mediterranean (or another) culture and would like to enjoy your wedding day in this atmosphere, choice of a destination wedding is the right one. Advantage no. 4 = experiencing different culture. Including traditional Greek wedding dishes! Which are by the way delicious!
DISADVANTAGES OF DESTINATION WEDDING

If we are talking about the disadvantages associated with organizing a wedding remotely and in a foreign environment, we will simply help you with that. Therefore, we do not even consider the above-mentioned AS disadvantages.
A true disadvantage might be rejections of your guests. This happens when planning destination wedding. Some of your guests might reject your invitation because of different reasons – not willing to travel to another country, extra day off at work, personal financial situation.
And once you'd decide to pay the traveling costs of your guests, the expenses start to grow very very quickly.
A lot of our couples asked the guests for their participation as a wedding gift. And guest used the occasion of the wedding as their holiday and traveled all across the Crete.
